"On National Pecan Day, plant a pecan tree! (You'll be celebrating the first Arbor Day, as well). If you don't have room for a pecan tree in your yard, bake Susan's favorite pecan pie. And yes, pecans do qualify as an herb (naturally!). The Comanche Indians used the leaves to treat ringworm, and the Kiowas drank a decoction of the bark as a treatment for tuberculosis.
