Since I started this site on May 1, 2011, this is my first Sustaining Award! Ta-da! It goes to D.E. (Dorothy Emily) Stevenson (second cousin of Robert Louis Stevenson)'s book SARAH'S COTTAGE. It's also available as an extremely well done audiobook with the perfect narrator, Hilary Neville. It's perfectly me -- writing, Europe, home design, etc. -- and it's full of sustaining stuff like marveling over people who truly and very happily have experienced no violence (this is set soon after World War II), and also greatly helps a child.
